Carelon video series

In partnership with the Carelon marketing team, I supported the production of a series of LinkedIn videos from the CarelonRx president. My role included managing video script writing, onsite video shoot support, production edits, and posting the final product to social media. Watch a video.

Hurricane Florence Short Film

On September 14, 2018, Hurricane Florence made landfall near Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. As a communicator for the American Red Cross, I helped filmmaker Rain Bennett tell the story of those affected by the storm by helping him to identify shot locations, provide editing feedback, and premier the short film during a Red Cross of Eastern NC gala event. A Century of service

The Red Cross of Eastern NC celebrated a century of service in 2017. To promote the occasion, I worked with partner organizations to organize, plan and market events, including branding downtown Raleigh in Red Cross flags, hosting a block party at the chapter, and developing a Red Cross exhibit with the City of Raleigh Museum. The year culminated in a Centennial Celebration at the NC Museum of History that featured the opening of a Red Cross art exhibit containing works by wounded Marines; a virtual reality booth that transported attendees to the flooded streets of Eastern North Carolina during Hurricane Matthew; live music by a Marine jazz band, and keynote address by the late Congressman Walter Jones.

Lenovo partnered with the American Red Cross to match 50% of employee donations made during their #WeAreLenovo campaign. As project manager, I worked closely with Lenovo to coordinate Red Cross volunteer involvement and shot recommendations, as well as to provide the company with key facts to include in the script. Following Hurricane Florence, I had the opportunity to sit down with The Storytelling Lab to talk about the importance of storytelling in conveying messages. Listen/view the podcast.

North Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America

I had the opportunity to speak to the N.C. Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America about crisis communication strategies.

Pharmacy Leadership and professional development course

In 2021 and 2022, I was invited to guest lecture the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy’s Leadership and Professional Development course for second-year students. This included establishing pre-class readings and assignments.
